Recently, Smartvision-Tech(hereinafter referred to as "our company") announced that it has officially entered into an in-depth cooperation with the School of Advanced Materials of Peking University and Peking University Shenzhen Research Institute regarding its self-developed series of low-light full-color night vision devices. This collaboration aims to promote the upgrading of night vision technology and the industrialization of related achievements through the integration of "industry-academia-research-application".

Amidst the deepening implementation of the "AI+" initiative, industrial innovation is shifting from being "technology-driven" to "scenario-defined." Recently, Smartvision-Tech and the Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School have entered into a significant strategic collaboration. Together, they announced a comprehensive joint innovation effort covering underlying materials, core algorithms, and industrial applications centered on AI Black-Light Full-Color imaging technology. This initiative aims to integrate the entire chain of "Academia, Research, Production, and Application," promising a paradigm shift for the night vision industry.
I. Origins: A Convergence of "Starlight" and "Industrial Dawn"
This collaboration represents a perfect marriage of top-tier academic intellect and cutting-edge industrial practice. PKU Shenzhen brings its internationally leading R&D capabilities in areas like low-dimensional semiconductor materials, providing the foundational "starlight" for next-generation sensor chips. Smartvision-Tech, with its globally leading AI-ISP (Artificial Intelligence Image Signal Processing) technology, acts as the key engine transforming this "starlight" into an "industrial dawn."
Professor Meng Hong, a National Specially Appointed Expert and Dean of the School of Advanced Materials at Peking University, expressed high expectations: "Smartvision-Tech's persistence and breakthroughs in the AI-ISP pathway demonstrate the determination and efficiency of hard-tech entrepreneurs. The goal of this collaboration is clear: to enable top-tier scientific achievements from the laboratory to serve national strategies and industrial needs faster and more broadly."
II. Breaking New Ground: AI Black-Light Full-Color Redefines "Night Vision"
Traditional night vision technologies (e.g., thermal imaging, image intensifiers) face limitations in extremely dark environments, such as monochromatic imaging, loss of detail, and high costs. Smartvision-Tech's AI Black-Light Full-Color vision platform overcomes these physical limits through original deep learning models:
Extreme Low-Light Performance:Capable of producing full-color, high-definition, low-noise video even under starlight conditions as low as 0.0001 Lux.
On-Device Intelligence:Highly optimized algorithms with power consumption <1W, enabling real-time AI analysis (person, vehicle, object recognition) on embedded devices.
Self-Controlled & Cost-Effective:Achieves 100% domestic sourcing from sensors and computing chips to core algorithms, with costs estimated at just 1/10th of traditional high-end solutions.
This is not merely a technical upgrade but provides an unprecedented "nighttime vision solution" for numerous fields including border security, industrial inspection, low-altitude economy, and consumer technology.
III. The Foundation: A Team of 'Hardcore' Experts Who Understand Both Technology and Implementation
Every grand vision is built on a solid foundation. Smartvision-Tech's core team is the source of its confidence in defining industry standards. Founder Andy Wo. brings 18 years of full-stack hardware and software expertise, having previously built Baidu's "DUMU" smart hardware brand from scratch into a business generating over RMB 500 million in revenue. The team combines top AI algorithm scientists, hardware engineers with over a decade of experience, and capital operation experts, forming a closed-loop capability in "technology, product, and business."
This is a hands-on, execution-oriented team that firmly believes: the ultimate value of technology must be tempered and realized within real industrial scenarios.
IV. Vision: To Become the Global Leader in On-Device AI Vision
Smartvision-Tech will use this collaboration as a starting point to deepen its focus on "On-Device Intelligence + Hardware-Software Integration." Leveraging the policy tailwinds of the "15th Five-Year Plan" and "AI+," the company will continue to increase R&D investment, promoting the adoption of Black-Light Full-Color technology across more industries.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Founder Andy Wong sees it as a key milestone in realizing the company's vision: "Our founding aspiration is to 'illuminate human night vision.' The profound research heritage of Peking University will serve as an 'accelerator' for this vision. It clarifies Smartvision-Tech's path of 'productization, industrialization, and strong implementation'."

"We are committed to translating top academic achievements into intelligent hardware accessible to every user; expanding laboratory breakthroughs into mature industries serving multiple sectors; and fulfilling the promise of cutting-edge technology in real-world scenarios like border defense, inspection, and emergency response – safeguarding security and enhancing efficiency. This is the true meaning of technology entrepreneurship."
